Now Hiring: Finisher/Painter – Commercial Door & Frame Manufacturing
Location: Rapid City, SD
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $20/hour (eligible for increase after 90 days)
Shift: 6am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday
Overview:
Join our team as a Finisher/Painter in a high-volume manufacturing operation. Use your expertise in bodywork, Bondo application, and metal surface preparation to finish commercial doors and frames to precise specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Prep and repair metal doors/frames by sanding, grinding, and filling imperfections
- Apply Bondo and fillers for a smooth, paint-ready surface
- Shape, sand, and feather surfaces to quality standards
- Mix and apply industrial primer with spray equipment
- Inspect finished products and correct defects
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
- Comply with safety procedures and use provided PPE
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in industrial/manufacturing painting (metal preferred)
- Skilled in Bondo and metal surface repair
- Detail-oriented; able to produce consistent, high-quality work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Physically fit for production work (standing, bending, lifting)
Preferred:
- Experience in commercial door/frame industry
- Knowledge of steel/hollow metal door finishing
