Job Title: Warehouse Operations Clerk – 1st and 2nd Shift (WH Ops Clerk, TMP0089)
Location: Rincon, GA
Shift: 1st and 2nd Shift
Pay: $15
Reports to: Operations Supervisor or Manager
Job Description:
The Warehouse Operations Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all shipping-related documentation and supporting efficient warehouse operations. This role supports communication between carriers, drivers, and internal personnel, ensuring smooth outbound shipping processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicate daily with outbound carriers via email, providing shipment schedules and equipment needs.
- Relay essential information to site personnel to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Greet and direct all drivers for outbound shipments.
- Systematically open/close shipments and prepare accurate bills of lading using a Warehouse Management System.
- Ensure departing drivers leave with all necessary paperwork.
- Maintain accuracy in all shipping documents by adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Enter, maintain, and update shipping activity data and records in the warehouse management system.
- Assist in resolving any shipping discrepancies.
- Support material handling duties such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, or loading as needed.
- Monitor trailer capacity and coordinate moves with spotters.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the leadership team.
- File outbound paperwork for easy retrieval.
- Accurately maintain seal logs and the load board.
- Communicate work assignments, such as appointments for receiving and loading, to staff as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with Manhattan Warehouse Management System (preferred).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong ability to manage changing priorities and remain calm in stressful situations.
- Good attention to detail, recordkeeping, and data entry skills.
- Strong time management, organizational, and self-motivation abilities.
- Must have visual acuity for inspecting shipments and finger dexterity for data entry.
- Experience or willingness to learn Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Bi-lingual Spanish a plus, but not required.
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Ability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for 10-12 hours per shift.
- Capable of lifting and moving totes weighing 50-100 pounds.
- Frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
- Regular walking throughout the facility.
