Accounting Specialist at Overland Park, KS
- It’s 100% onsite.
- Work Schedule: 9/80 ; Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 5:30 (times are flexible)
- Pay Rate: USD 20 per hour
- Contract: W2 under staffing suppliers, 6-month duration (with possible extension according to performance)
SUMMARY: This is an entry-level Accounting Specialist position in Overland Park, KS, reporting to the Financial Controller.
The role covers the full accounting cycle, with primary responsibilities in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and reconciliations.
Key Duties Include:

Invoicing & Cash: Preparing daily invoices, processing customer deposits, and applying cash receipts.

AP & Payments: Processing supplier invoices, approving employee expenses, and handling payments (wire, ACH, check).

Month-End: Assisting with month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, Sales & Use tax reporting, and maintaining financial records.

Compliance: Handling government invoicing (Wide Area Work Flow) and ensuring compliance with regulations (GAAP, FAR, etc., is preferred).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field. 3+ years of experience in a billing/AR/AP environment is preferred,
- Proficiency with SAP ERP is a must.
- Candidates must have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be a US person eligible for ITAR/EAR controlled access.
