What’s a typical day as an Avionics Installer II?
You’ll be:
-
Assisting in the installation, removal, modification, and testing of avionics and electrical systems.
-
Fabricating and installing wire harnesses, electrical components, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and blueprints.
-
Performing terminations, ring-outs, and functional tests of systems.
-
Maintaining accurate records, logs, and documentation.
-
Ensuring all work complies with FAA regulations, customer specifications, and company standards.

Following safety protocols, tool control programs, and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

A High School Diploma or GED.
-
Either:
-
2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics, or
-
2 years of related work experience, or
-
An avionics certificate from an accredited school plus 1 year of related experience.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering documents.
-
Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and specifications.

Strong communication and computer skills.
-
Commitment to safety, teamwork, and high-quality work.
Additional Details

Facility follows strict safety, tool control, and FOD prevention programs.

Must be able to work independently or as part of a team, maintain a clean work area, and care for tools and equipment.
