Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking an Industrial Sales Account Executive for a direct-hire (permanent) position with one of our partners in the St. Louis, MO area.
This role offers the opportunity to drive new business growth, partner with manufacturers across the U.S., and deliver technical solutions that increase production efficiency and reduce downtime.
Industrial Sales Account Executive – Direct Hire (Permanent)
Schedule: Full-time
Travel: Extensive, 50-60% nationwide
Your Impact
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to identify, qualify, and secure new industrial accounts.
- Partner with manufacturers in metalworking and machinery lubrication applications to provide solutions tailored to their production objectives.
- Promote and sell lubricants, metalworking fluids, and industrial cleaners along with value-added services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships by serving as a technical consultant and trusted partner.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to support R&D, quality control, and preventative maintenance initiatives.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and presentations to closing and ongoing account management.
- Represent the company at industry events and customer sites across the U.S.
What You’ll Bring
Core Experience:
- Proven success in industrial, technical, or scientific sales
- Strong “hunter” mentality with the ability to generate new business
- Technical aptitude and ability to apply product knowledge to solve customer problems
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-starter with maturity, discipline, and independence to manage a phase-in work program
- Comfort working with customers at all organizational levels, from maintenance staff to executive leadership
Technical Qualifications (Required):
- Associate’s degree is required. Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering is preferred.
- 1-2+ years of professional experience in a customer-facing position (preferably laboratory or manufacturing/industrial sales, or related to lubricants and/or metalworking fluids).
- Ability and willingness to travel at least 50% – both local and nationwide.
- Accessible to St. Louis, MO area for training first ~1-2 years.
Technical Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience selling into manufacturing, machining, or metalworking environments
- Background in lubrication engineering, preventative maintenance, or fluid analysis services
- Established customer network in industrial or manufacturing markets
