MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC – WEST CHICAGO – 1ST SHIFT
(MOVING TO NORTHBROOK START OF 2026)

Requirements: Mechanical aptitude, strong understanding of facility and equipment repair, intermediate math skills, high school diploma or equivalent, eagerness to learn and grow. (Swiss CNC experience is highly preferred)
Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00AM – 2:30PM (Must Be Flexible With Various Days Based on Need) 
Overtime Highly Encouraged
Pay Rate: $25–$35/hour (DOE)
Location: West Chicago, IL (Relocation/Travel to Northbrook required early 2026)

Work variety: Troubleshooting, repairs, scheduled maintenance, installations—no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair facility utility systems—think electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and structure.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on manual, semiautomated, and automated equipment using blueprints, technical manuals, and manufacturer specs.

  • Record all work, findings, and recommendations clearly on provided work orders—details matter here.

  • Troubleshoot using PLCs, CNC control panels, and similar displays; diagnose and fix problems efficiently.

  • Make machine adjustments and repairs according to company safety standards (operational interlocks, sensors, controls, isolation systems).

  • Support the installation, testing, and validation of new production equipment with our engineering team.

  • Stay current—maintain certifications, documentation, and machine histories.

  • Identify and source replacement parts and supplies, making purchase decisions responsibly.

  • Prioritize work requests, planned or unplanned, based on facility safety and production needs—even without direct supervision.

  • Follow all Lock Out Tag Out and Arc Flash protocols—no exceptions.

  • Jump in and assist wherever needed—teamwork keeps our facility running.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a huge plus.

  • 3+ years of direct maintenance experience, in manufacturing environment.

  • CNC experience and facility mechanical experience (Swiss CNC highly preferred) 

  • Proven troubleshooting skills with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems. 

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Physically able to stand for shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Clear written and oral communication—you’ll be expected to document everything concisely.

  • Willing and able to travel to Northbrook, IL in early 2026 (brand new facility; company relocation to Northbrook)
