Job details
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist / Machine Operator to join our team in Victor, NY. This is a full-time, on-site position. As an operator, you will be primarily responsible for operating various Okuma CNC lathes to produce precision components, interpreting blueprints, adjusting machine settings, and conducting quality inspections of finished parts.
Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM and Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Significant overtime opportunities available!
Responsibilities:
- Operate Okuma CNC lathes to produce precision components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and part accuracy.
- Perform quality inspections of finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven proficiency in CNC machining or machine operation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Knowledge of Mastercam is a plus.
- Experience in tool and die manufacturing is a plus.
- Technical certification or degree in machining or a related field is a plus.
Compensation:
- $20 – $24 per hour (Dependent on experience)
