SUMMARY
This position is responsible for safely assembling equipment by following detailed instructions from supervisors and trainers. These assemblies vary in size and require the use of a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies
- Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto trucks utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniques
- Drill holes for wires, hoses and small parts
- Operate a torch, plasma cutter, or grinder to cut and shape parts
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Install various truck accessories (decals, mud flaps, cameras, lights)
- Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts up to 40 lbs and team lift up to 80lbs.
- Train and work in various areas of assembly in response to production demands
- Follow verbal and written work instructions
- Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Must be able to work overtime and/or 7 days a week
- Regular attendance required

Job Title: Paint Prep
Pay and shifts:
- Pay: $17.00-$19.65 + $1.75 shift differential

Job Overview:
The Paint Prep I is responsible for wiping, sanding, and inspecting all parts to be painted as well as plugging and masking all parts. Other required tasks include blowing water, shot blow of area, and operation of overhead hoist to hang parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned:
- Wipe, sand, inspect all parts, up to and, including preparation of painted parts for paint repair.
- Plug and mask all parts and blow any and all excess water and shot from cavities within the parts to allow for proper paint adhesion and needs to be familiar with the operation of the overhead hoist for hanging parts.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards. Demonstrate best practices to follow all safe procedures in assembling and testing of all models/products in assigned function.
- Inspect completed parts for quality, validate components meet production and quality standards.
- Assist in driving back defects to the point of origin along with facilitation of corrective actions.
- Maintain inventory levels by identifying, labeling, stocking and recording materials and supplies where applicable.

Job Title: Painter

Job Overview:
Responsible for the application of paint and other coatings using electrostatic / air assist paint guns and other automotive type paint application devices on Jerr-dan products including government / military spec paint.
Responsibilities:
- Prime, paint, and touchup vehicles with power spray equipment and brushes. Mask, unmask, or adjust masking as necessary to ensure specifications are met. Sand, wash, and condition parts as necessary.
- Light bodywork may be required. Disassemble, clean, repair, adjust and reassemble painting equipment, such as pumps, paint heaters, tanks, spray guns, etc. for proper operation.
- Flush tanks, hoses and guns prior to color changeovers. Mix all types of paints for proper color, formula, conditions, viscosity and consistency.
- Perform titrations and mix or adjust chemicals as necessary in paint, zinc, or other processes.
- Apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing as required.
- Upkeep of work area and equipment which may include preventative maintenance tasks. Inspect product before, during, after paint process to ensure specifications are being met.
- Transport, move or guide parts, subassemblies, or assemblies before, during, or after paint process and to next operation. This may include moving racks or carts by hand and the use of material handling equipment such as a fork lift or overhead crane.
Qualifications:
- 6 plus months of painting experience in automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop.
- Strong mathematical skills. Basic mechanical aptitude
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidate should be able to do assigned work with a minimum amount of direction. Ability to troubleshoot and correct issues as directed
- 1 plus year(s) of painting experience in automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment in manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop
Job Title: Welder

This position is responsible for operating welding equipment to build high quality parts, subassemblies, and finished product. Weldments vary in type, size, and direction and are performed on a variety of production lines.
Responsibilities:
- Must receive a passing score on the Welder Qualification test and recertify skills as required by program guidelines
- Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place
- Adjust welding current to proper weld configurations
- Heats and forms metal parts and components using hand tools, torch or welding equipment
- Welds components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
- Accurately operate and read measuring devices
- Assemble and weld various metal parts together
- Properly position material/parts to be welded
- Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands
- Follow verbal and written work instructions including ability to read blue prints
- Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Work in both team and individual settings
- Regular attendance required
- All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned
- Primarily MIG weldments
Qualifications:
- 6 plus months of welding experience either through education or work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding Certification through an educational institution
- 1 plus year(s) of welding experience in a manufacturing industry
Job Title: Material Support

Job Overview:
Individual will be mainly responsible for safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklift, stacker, and CombiLifts. Will also need to be able to learn and utilize the current inventory computer system, sort items according to destination and verify that all items match with the purchase order.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory levels by identifying, labeling, stocking and recording materials and supplies.
- Transport heavy material using a forklift both inside and outside of buildings.
- Determine production requirements by obtaining work orders.
- Verify items and quantities on packing slips and receive or ship as necessary.
- Package materials and parts in various containers for safe shipment to internal and external customers.
- Communicate with internal customers while responding to material requests
- Develop bills of lading (loading) and delivery forms.
- Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Cycle count inventory as requested by supervisor.
- Learn and utilize current inventory computer system.
- Sort items according to destination and verify all items match with the purchase order.

Qualifications:
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to successfully complete IMT forklift training
- Ability to obtain and maintain a IMT forklift license
- Ability to acquire and understand lean manufacturing concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 month experience in a manufacturing industry
Critical Physical and Safety Requirements:
- Safety glasses and safety shoes required at all times. Respirator required when painting and during some paint prep activities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
