We’re urgently hiring compassionate, reliable Mental Health Aides for immediate placement in our Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP). Help Veterans in their recovery and rehabilitation in a supportive team environment.

Shifts:

  • Overnight: Sun–Thurs, 11:30 PM–8:00 AM

  • Swing: Tues–Sat, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM (available mid-August)

  • Day (Backup): Tues–Sat, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

  • Weekend and holiday coverage required

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise and support Veterans in a structured, therapeutic residential setting

  • Monitor safety, perform patient rounding, and document observations

  • Communicate changes to clinical staff; assist with resident intake/discharge

  • Lead or support group/recreational therapy activities

  • Maintain compliance with infection control and safety guidelines

  • Work closely with nursing/behavioral health teams

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma required; 2 years of college with 12+ semester hours in health, behavioral, or social sciences strongly preferred

  • Certification: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to start. ACLS may be needed for some roles

  • Experience: At least 1 year in direct care or residential/rehabilitation patient care preferred

  • References: Provide 3 references (must include a supervisor)

  • Computer literacy and willingness to complete all VA-required and Electronic Health Record (EHR) training upon hire

  • Bilingual and prior VA/patient experience are a plus!

What’s Needed to Work:

  • Ability to pass all required health clearances (TB, immunizations, drug screening, etc.)

  • COVID-19 and flu vaccinations (or valid exceptions; mask required if not vaccinated)

  • Must be comfortable with shift/weekend work, standing/walking, and escorting patients as needed
