Position Details:
- Overnight Shift: Sun–Thurs, 11:30 PM–8:00 AM (full-time)
- Day Shift (Backup/PRN): Tues–Sat, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM; Sun–Thurs, 11:30 PM–8:30 AM
- Includes weekend and holiday coverage
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and support Veterans in a structured, therapeutic setting
- Monitor safety, perform routine checks, and assist with documentation
- Communicate patient updates to clinical staff
- Support group or recreational therapy and activities
- Help with resident intake and discharge processes
- Uphold infection control and safety standards
Who We’re Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma (required); some college in health or social sciences preferred
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before starting; ACLS may be needed for certain roles
- Experience: Prefer at least 1 year in direct or residential patient care (but a caring attitude goes a long way)
- References: Three references required (must include a supervisor)
- Comfortable with computers/EHR training
- Bilingual or prior VA/patient care experience is a plus
What’s Needed to Work:
- Ability to pass all health clearances (TB, immunizations, drug screening, etc.)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations—or valid exceptions (mask required if not vaccinated)
- Willingness to work overnight/weekend shifts, stand/walk frequently, and escort patients as needed
