Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $23.25/hr.
Shift/Hours – 6 AM – 2:30 PM

What’s a typical day as a Formulation Technician? You’ll be:

  • Manufacturing both dehydrated and liquid cell culture media by following detailed batch record instructions.

  • Weighing raw materials from micrograms to kilograms, staging and compounding ingredients, milling, blending, and aseptically filling liquid media.

  • Operating, calibrating, cleaning, and troubleshooting laboratory and production equipment including pipettors, balances, osmometers, turbidimeters, and pH meters.

  • Performing standard product testing such as osmolality, pH, and turbidity.

  • Documenting all procedures and maintaining accurate logs in accordance with GMP standards.

  • Ensuring safe handling of raw materials and maintaining a clean, injury-free workplace.

  • Supporting a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration.

  • Assisting with maintenance tasks and additional duties as assigned to achieve business goals.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you: (Requirements)

  • Have a BS in chemistry or a related field.

  • Bring at least 6 months of experience in a high-paced chemistry laboratory or manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and are able to follow testing and inspection procedures accurately.

  • Can maintain neat, accurate, and complete records and logs.

  • Possess mechanical aptitude to disassemble, reassemble, and troubleshoot a variety of equipment.

  • Are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with proven communication skills.

  • Can adapt to flexible work schedules, including possible overtime.

  • Have basic experience with weighing multiple components in a laboratory or production setting.

  • Are proficient with PCs and applications such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with statistical analysis in Excel or Minitab is highly desired.

  • Meet the physical requirement to lift or move approximately 40 lbs.
