Material Handler – Crown Stand-up Forklift Operator
Location: Romeoville, IL
Department: Logistics
Environment: Refrigerated (cold conditions, approx. 35°F)
Dress code: Slip-resistant steel-toe shoes required
Work Schedule:
1st shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm $20.00
2nd shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30 to 11:00 pm $21.00
3rd shift Monday to Friday, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am $21.00
About the Role
We’re looking for a Crown Stand-up Forklift Operator to join our Logistics team. You’ll operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and count merchandise safely and efficiently. This role is key to keeping our operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
- Receiving & Put-Away: Unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations.
- Order Picking: Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Loading: Move products from staging areas into trailers or rail cars.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, push-pull attachments, and RF equipment.
- Inventory: Maintain accurate records, assist with cycle counts, and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Maintenance: Help with building and equipment upkeep as needed.
- Follow all SQF Food Safety Code requirements and company safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Good communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
