Job Title: Fleet Coordinator
Location: Farmington Hills, MI
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Pay: $20.15


Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Fleet Coordinator to join our Engineering Fleet Management (EFM) team at the Nissan Technical Center North America in Farmington Hills, MI. This position involves split duties; approximately 70% of the role will be spent at the key desk maintaining documents and entering data, while the other 30% will involve outdoor handling and processing of test vehicles.


Key Desk Functions:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Nissan Engineering community, facilitating vehicle pick-ups, exchanges, and returns.

  • Accountable for distribution, tracking & management of all keys & license plates per approved test event schedules

  • Process incoming and outgoing rental vehicles, ensuring adherence to critical timing.

  • Responsible for organization of legal documentation (Maintenance plans, Borrowed Vehicle Agreements, Accident Reports, Registrations, dealer invoices.)

  • Order and manage departmental supplies, including key tags, labels, and general office supplies.

Vehicle Shop Support Functions:

  • Receive and label new vehicles within 24 hours of arrival.

  • Collaborate with shop staff to prepare vehicles throughout various stages of their lifecycle.

  • Identify and prepare vehicles for storage or scrap (forklift operation required).

  • Apply vehicle camouflage and conduct de-fleet inspections of production test units.

  • Prepare vehicles for export and maintain an organized parking lot.

  • Responsible for overall department records management and retention.

  • Apply secured car covers as needed and perform vehicle audits across various lots.

  • Oversee vehicle readiness for daily usage by the engineering community.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Data entry or Excel experience is a must

  • Clean driving history-must pass MVR screen

  • Comfortable lifting, pulling, or pushing up to 50 lbs

  • Able to drive a forklift or be trained

  • Experience as an automotive technician or mechanic preferred
