Job Title: Production Technician I

Payrate: $25
Position Overview
The Production Technician I is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting a variety of production equipment and systems. This role ensures timely technical assistance, upholds safety and compliance standards, and contributes to team morale while maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Preventative & Corrective Maintenance: Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment. Troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Technical Support Response: Respond promptly to technical support calls to ensure rapid problem resolution. Accurately log all support calls and work details in the technician tracking system (e.g., RPM).
- Installation & Repair: Install electrical wiring, controls, and computer hardware for production equipment. Relocate and support the installation of new machinery as needed.
- Inventory & Parts Tracking: Monitor and track parts usage. Collaborate with management and Inventory Analyst to suggest optimal inventory levels.
- Team Contribution: Foster a positive work environment and contribute to team spirit and morale. Provide performance feedback to leadership on junior technicians.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain maintenance records in alignment with OSHA and EPA requirements, including updating equipment tracking databases.
- Safety: Adhere consistently to all safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational education preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a production environment with strong equipment repair skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operation and repair of high-speed production equipment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under time constraints and follow directions, contributing positively to a team.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand for the entire shift; lift, carry, and move 25+ lbs.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
