Kelly Engineering Resources has an outstanding opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a consumer products manufacturer located in the Willowbrook area of Illinois.
The ideal candidate will have strong background in electronic packaging, shell, enclosure design for both handheld as well as free standing mobile equipment.

Requirements:
- Engineer from concept assemblies, electro-mechanical interfaces, prototype & test, release to production, and provide support to product launch.
- Develop new designs and modifications and improvements to existing designs,
- Meet development & production deadlines.
- Develop product improvements via selecting/designing new parts, redesigning components, assemblies & sub-assemblies.
- Utilize Solidworks- soldi surface and injection mold design is a big plus!
- Troubleshoot product manufacturing, design, and engineering issues.
- Work in a collaborative engineering environment including work with hardware & software engineers, designers, purchasing, manufacturing.
Qualifications of the Successful Mechanical Engineer:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering and 4+ years design experience
- SolidWorks Proficiency Required
- Experience in a fast-moving product development environment that releases products to manufacturing.
- Engineering/Design experience that incorporates a variety of materials into products is preferred.
- Materials such as sheet metal parts, injection molded plastics, highly preferred
- DFM-Knowledge & understanding of the manufacturing process of these materials
- Knowledge of electromechanical interfaces a plus
- Electro-mechanical assembly drawings as plus
- Hands on skills in trouble shooting & prototyping is required.
