Job Posting: Sheeter Operator – Baxter Springs, KS
Pay: $19.50/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Location: Baxter Springs, KS
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sheeter Operator to produce and pack high-quality products using high-speed paper converting equipment. The ideal candidate will work safely, ensure excellent product quality, and help our team achieve the highest standards in compliance with our safety programs and quality assurance systems.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and pack products at target machine speeds, maintaining safe work practices.
- Accurately complete daily paperwork and document production details.
- Read and understand the Production Order Packet (POP); prepare machine components for production.
- Complete equipment set-up and changeover with minimal assistance within the allotted timeframe.
- Conduct and participate in Preventative Maintenance activities as assigned.
- Keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Participate actively in safety programs.
- Collaborate with other team members and support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum six months of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with high-speed machines.
- Commitment to maintaining an accident-free and drug-free workplace.
- Strong focus on product quality and excellence.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, positive attitude, and a high level of dedication.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
- Proven reliability and dependability.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires frequent walking, talking, hearing, climbing, squatting, stooping, reaching with arms and hands, and handling equipment. Occasionally, you will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities needed include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
