Location: Statesboro, GA
Shift:

  • Start: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  • Later transition to: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (7 days a week)

Duration: Seasonal position, lasting 8–12 weeks


About the Opportunity

Kelly Services is hiring motivated Cotton Gin Workers for the cotton harvest season at a respected facility in Statesboro, GA! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy physical work, and are looking for a hands-on opportunity, join our team and help process this year’s cotton crop.


What You’ll Do

  • Operate Equipment: Run gin machinery, module feeders, bale baggers, and forklifts to move cotton and bales throughout the facility.

  • Cotton Processing: Feed raw cotton into the gin, unwrap and un-tarp modules, and prepare finished bales.

  • Maintenance & Cleanliness: Perform basic equipment maintenance, clear blockages, sweep floors, remove trash, and keep the facility clean.

  • Bale Handling: Tie, tag, bag, and assist with loading finished cotton bales for transport.

  • Safety & Quality: Follow safety protocols, conduct safety checks, and ensure high-quality processing.

  • General Labor: Complete various tasks, including moving cotton around the yard, raking loose cotton, and other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including cotton bales up to 500 lbs

  • Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods

  • Work in hot, humid outdoor conditions for extended shifts

  • Capable of walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and climbing ladders as required

Who You Are

  • Prior experience operating farm equipment or forklifts is a plus

  • Physically fit and able to meet job demands

  • Dependable, hard-working, and able to work independently or as part of a team

  • Willing to strictly follow workplace safety guidelines, company policies, and quality standards

  • Must maintain reliable attendance throughout the season
