Why you should apply to be a Field Operator:

  • Pay: $26.50/hr with weekly pay and overtime potential

  • Shift: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, 10 hours/day, 7 days a week while traveling

  • Location: Thomasville, GA (1828 Metcalf Avenue 31792)

  • Full-time, contingent opportunity (40 hours/week)

  • All PPE provided (Safety Boots required on day one)

  • Weekly per diem expense

Job Summary:
The Field Operator processes raw materials and fabricates semi-complex parts outdoors according to engineered drawings, ensuring all products meet precise project specifications. This role offers excellent hands-on experience, advanced welding, and blueprint interpretation responsibilities, driving both personal and team success within a leading industrial organization.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all workplace safety policies and quality standards

  • Perform FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding on A36 and 304LSS materials using engineered blueprints in outdoor environments

  • Interpret blueprints, apply weld symbols/dimensions, follow redline processes, and recommend improvements as needed

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery failures

  • Execute duties associated with Senior Field Construction Technician responsibilities

  • Operate hand and power tools such as grinders and chipping hammers

  • Participate in daily improvement efforts, including 5S/housekeeping audits

  • Collaborate with supervisors and peers for timely, high-quality products

  • Submit weekly per diem expense

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant welding or field construction experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding from blueprints

  • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings

  • Hands-on experience with hand and power tools

  • Ability to obtain AWS certifications (training provided)

  • Ability to perform construction-related activities and pass hydro testing weld requirements

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel 100% (field-based role; travel across project sites)

  • Must be able to drive a company vehicle

  • Ability to complete OSHA 10 requirements and obtain a TWIC card

  • This is a safety-sensitive position
