Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment in Walla Walla, Washington. This is a temporary, full-time onsite role expected to last approximately 4–6 months, with potential for permanent hire based on business needs and performance.
This position partners closely with plant leadership to manage day-to-day HR operations, support employees and managers, and ensure compliance with Washington State labor laws.
Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary HR partner for the production location, managing all onsite HR activities

Support leaders with recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and workforce planning

Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable Washington State employment laws

Manage payroll coordination and serve as a point of contact for benefits and open enrollment

Coach and train supervisors and managers on HR processes and systems

Oversee HR administration and ensure timely, accurate execution of HR tasks

Partner with Talent Acquisition on hourly and salaried hiring needs

Support safety initiatives and participate in safety-related activities

Provide HR data, metrics, and reporting as needed

Collaborate with HR colleagues across locations to share best practices
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred

5–7+ years of human resources experience in a similar role, including employee relations and staffing
-
Strong knowledge of Washington State labor laws

Manufacturing or production environment HR experience preferred

Experience with payroll administration, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems
-
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
-
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
