Production Quality Supervisor

Join our team in South Windsor, CT, as a Production Quality Supervisor! This leadership role offers strong growth potential as you oversee quality control processes on the production floor, ensure quality standards are met, and lead a team of 15-25 employees.

This is a 100% onsite position in South Windsor, CT

Job Specifics:

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 PM

  • Compensation: $70,000-$75,000 + Annual Bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage quality assurance processes on the production floor.

  • Sign off on all jobs, verifying materials, indicia, and adherence to quality specifications.

  • Supervise and manage a team of 15-25 Quality Control Inspectors and Technicians, both permanent and temporary.

  • Ensure all Quality Control personnel receive proper technical, quality, and ISO training.

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for all processes.

  • Lead investigations into quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Prioritize and delegate inspection tasks, ensuring timely completion and accurate reporting.

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.

  • Enforce safety standards and promote a culture of quality awareness.

  • Mentor, counsel, empower, and develop quality control staff; conduct performance appraisals.

  • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing or production environment.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a quality control setting.

  • Thorough understanding of quality control principles, methods, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse environment.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

  • PC literacy with proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) is a plus.
