High-Speed Insert Operator – South Windsor, CT
We are currently recruiting a High-Speed Insert Operator to join our dynamic Production Operations team in South Windsor. This is an on-site role, with work performed 100% at the assigned location.
Role Overview
High-Speed Insert Operators, working independently, set up, operate, and monitor automatic or semi-automatic high-speed inserting equipment used in the production and assembly of client output. This includes tasks such as cutting, bursting, binding, folding, inserting, labeling, stitching, and trimming. Operators interpret production orders to determine job requirements and assemble printed materials into a final product, ensuring quality standards are met.
Operators handle minimal insert load and moderate sheet-to-statement ratios (e.g., 3–4 average sheets per statement), which may vary depending on client complexity. Responsibilities also include preventative maintenance, authorized repairs, and preparing mail for Post Office acceptance as needed.

- Assist in carrying out assigned tasks at basic and advanced levels.
- Perform tasks independently at a high, complex working level.
- Lead or direct others in performing tasks, as appropriate.
- Ensure equipment is utilized efficiently and maintain production quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system or operational issues proactively.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exposure to inserting equipment or experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a fast-paced production environment.

Mechanical Ability: Safely operates tools and machinery; demonstrates mechanical aptitude.
Multi-tasking: Performs multiple tasks concurrently, requiring various skills and knowledge.
PC Application Skills: Proficient with software such as print management systems, MS Office, and other role-specific software.
Prioritizing: Orders tasks by importance and focuses on activities that contribute most to goals.
Problem Solving/Troubleshooting: Identifies problems, evaluates solutions, and implements effective outcomes.
