Job Title: Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant
Pay Rate: $29.00+ per hour
(Compensation is based on experience)
Hours: 8-4:30
Position Overview:
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded accounting professional who enjoys the variety, responsibility, and close collaboration of a small-company environment. The role is responsible for overseeing and executing the company’s accounting and financial activities, while contributing financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including cash management, inventory control, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries within a computerized accounting system
  

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
  

• Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits
  

• Provide financial insight through daily reporting, pro forma scenario development, forecasting, and strategic planning analyses
  

• Supervise and manage accounting assistants performing supporting tasks
  

• Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Required Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  

• Five (5) or more years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong accounting, financial, and analytical skills
  

• Experience with accounting and financial software systems
  

• Sound and consistent business judgment with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  

• High attention to detail to ensure complete, accurate, and consistent work
  

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to learn quickly
  

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  

• Commitment to process improvement and standard work practices
  

• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
