Position Overview
As a Merchandising Representative I, you will support the Merchandising team by assisting with pricing execution, billing accuracy, cost changes, customer support, and data integrity. This role supports a large wholesale grocery distribution operation serving independent retailers and operates in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
Job Responsibilities

Coordinate customer contracts by monitoring outbound costs and ensuring accurate, competitive pricing.

Work with manufacturing and vendor partners to maintain up-to-date pricing, regional brackets, and customer-specific exceptions.

Coordinate and process future cost increases and decreases, including deals, off-invoice allowances, and customized pricing.

Monitor weekly billings, including flyer activity, bottle deposits, promotional deals, and gross profit-related billings.

Identify and communicate item or vendor setup issues; monitor attributes and system flags to maintain high data quality and order accuracy.

Communicate with customers on a daily basis regarding pricing, item setup, and contract-related questions.

Oversee tracking spreadsheets used to monitor new item progress and pricing updates.

Review cost comparison and sales reports to identify pricing variances, credits owed, or rebills required.

Support at least one Merchandiser with weekly tasks related to gross profit tracking and merchandising/marketing planning.

Skills & Qualifications

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Professional verbal and written communication skills
Experience & Education

0–2 years of relevant experience preferred

High School Diploma or GED required
