Kelly® Engineering is seeking an Avionics Technician for a contract-to-permanent opportunity supporting a well-established aviation services organization based in Croydon, Pennsylvania. This organization provides comprehensive helicopter maintenance, repair, overhaul, avionics, structures, component repair, engineering, and manufacturing services for civilian aviation customers. Please note, due to regulatory requirements, this position is open only to U.S. citizens

Overview
This organization operates a full-service aviation maintenance facility specializing in rotary-wing aircraft. With decades of experience supporting civilian helicopter fleets, the team maintains strict compliance with FAA and other regulatory standards.
The Avionics Technician plays a critical role in maintaining aircraft airworthiness through the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and testing of avionics and instrument systems. The role requires an active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, strong documentation practices, and the ability to collaborate with maintenance leadership and flight crews to support safe and timely return-to-service activities.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, test, remove, repair, install, and replace aircraft avionics systems, instruments, and associated wiring in accordance with FAA regulations
- Perform certificated maintenance requiring an active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
- Diagnose aircraft discrepancies and apply technical judgment to determine corrective actions
- Analyze avionics system performance and test data to verify proper operation
- Test electrical and avionics systems to ensure compliance, functionality, and airworthiness
- Accurately document all work performed in maintenance records and work orders
- Coordinate and order required parts and materials to complete assigned tasks
- Maintain avionics test equipment and a clean, organized work area
- Support in-flight evaluations and troubleshooting activities in coordination with flight crews, as required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required
- 3–5 years of avionics technician experience in civilian aviation
- Experience supporting rotary-wing aircraft strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Airbus, Bell, Leonardo, or Sikorsky helicopter platforms is a plus
- FCC GROL or ASTM NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician certification preferred
- U.S. citizenship required due to regulatory requirements
