Position Summary:
Join our team as a Process Engineer I! You will play a key support role in the cGMP manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Working closely with project teams, you’ll help translate cutting-edge chemical processes into successful manufacturing operations. Projects span small-scale development, technology transfer, pilot-scale production, validation, and commercial manufacturing support.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Perform scaling calculations for unit operations and assist with conceptual process design.
- Participate in process reviews to ensure operability, safety, and quality requirements are met.
- Provide support to both external clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support production campaigns through in-person observation and analysis.
- Analyze production and laboratory data for process understanding and troubleshooting.
- Assist with quality investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support process improvement initiatives focused on reducing cycle time, increasing yield, and enhancing quality.
- Draft critical manufacturing documents such as process flow diagrams, batch records, validation protocols, standard operating procedures, quality investigations, and campaign reports.
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, especially pharmaceutical, is preferred.
