Mechanical Turnaround Planner
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Turnaround Planner to support our Turnaround (TA) team in generating value through precise job estimation and planning. This critical role focuses on developing comprehensive job packages from work order scopes, including all necessary resources (labor, materials, tools, equipment, services), and cost estimates to ensure safe, efficient, and effective execution.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and optimize assigned Turnaround Field Planning activities
- Conduct field visits with plant personnel to confirm scope completeness and accuracy
- Identify and document all tasks and activities necessary for job execution
- Gather and incorporate safety requirements and MET (Most Effective Technology) documents into job packages
- Prepare and input job plans into SAP, detailing resources, materials, services, and costs
- Utilize ARCPC, EDMS, MOC, and Primavera software in the planning process
- Champion improvements in planning tools and processes, and mentor others
- Support Turnaround Execution as a field or zone coordinator
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in turnarounds, maintenance, or equipment repair and at least two (2) years of planning in maintenance/shutdowns/projects
- High school diploma or GED
- Current, valid US driver’s license
- Strong mechanical craft knowledge and application
- Proficient in SAP, Word, and Excel
- Commitment to safety standards and workplace policies
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Self-motivated and effective in a team-oriented environment
