Quality Assurance Coordinator – Food-Grade “Chill” Warehouse (35°F–45°F) | Tue–Sat
Kelly Services is hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Associate for a high-standards, food-grade temperature-controlled warehouse. This is the kind of environment where quality is not a “checklist,” it’s how product integrity, customer trust, and compliance stay intact.
Pay: $22.58/hr
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | 3:30 PM–12:00 AM
Hours: 32.5+ hours/week guaranteed
Work Environment: Refrigerated 35°F–45°F (cold-weather + food-safety PPE required)
What you’ll be trusted to do
• Inspect inbound/outbound/stored product for condition, labeling, lot codes, expiration dates, packaging integrity, allergen controls
• Monitor and document temperature compliance (cold-chain focus, no shortcuts)
• Place product on quality/food safety hold when something is off — and escalate clearly
• Maintain accurate documentation: inspection logs, temperature logs, sanitation records, deviation reports
• Support audits and ensure daily compliance with GMPs, HACCP principles, and SOPs
• Partner with warehouse ops to solve issues without slowing the building down
The good / the tough (straight talk)
What you’ll like
• Clean, structured QA work where your attention to detail actually matters
• Consistent schedule and guaranteed weekly hours
• A role that builds real food safety + documentation credibility
What you need to be ready for
• It’s cold. Not “a little chilly” — refrigerated. You’ll be moving and wearing PPE.
• You must be comfortable holding product and standing firm when something isn’t right.
• Documentation is non-negotiable. If you don’t like logs, this won’t be a fit.
What makes someone successful here
• 1+ year QA/food warehouse/food distribution experience (preferred)
• Strong documentation habits and calm communication
• Confidence to make real-time calls and escalate appropriately
• Able to stand/walk for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs as needed
FOR A FASTER RESPONSE, AFTER APPLYING, PLEASE SEND OVER YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME ALONG WITH ANSWER TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS TO THE RECRUITER COREY AT 847-729-2575:
Screening Questions (required):
1. Can you work Tue–Sat, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM consistently?
2. Are you comfortable working in 35°F–45°F while wearing required PPE?
3. Do you have experience with GMP/HACCP, temperature logs, inspection holds, or food safety documentation? Briefly explain.
