Job details
We are seeking a full-time Autistic Support Special Education Teacher to join a collaborative, student-centered school team near Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. This role supports students with autism across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals within a structured and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct instruction and differentiated support for students with autism
• Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with related service providers (SLPs, OTs, BCBAs, school psychologists, etc.)
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction as needed
• Maintain clear communication with families, staff, and administrators
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and professional development
Qualifications
• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification (PK–12 or applicable level)
• Experience supporting students with autism preferred (school-based experience a plus)
• Strong classroom management and data-driven instructional skills
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to inclusive practices
