Kelly Science and Clinical is looking for a passionate and driven Scientist to join one of our Global Medical Device clients in Jacksonville, FL for an exciting long-term opportunity. Pay Rate: $28.00/hr and up, based on experience
Shift: Monday – Friday | Day Shift
Duration: One year with strong potential to extend
What You’ll Be Doing
- Step into a dynamic lab environment where no two days are the same. You’ll be at the forefront of advanced materials characterization, working with cutting-edge instrumentation and techniques including:
- FTIR spectroscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), and Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS)
- Refractive index measurement, oxygen permeability testing, and optical density analysis
- Contact-angle determination, surface roughness evaluation, and gravimetric water content assessment
- Routine solution testing — pH, conductivity, and osmolality — using USP and validated methods
- Beyond testing, you’ll help develop and implement new test methods, support method validation, and contribute to analytical work spanning stability, pre-clinical, clinical, and regulatory studies.
You’ll also play a key role in:
- Supporting competitor product analysis and building out a master database
- Contributing to new instrumentation qualification
- Assisting with equipment calibration management and system updates
- Participating in guided analytical method development aligned with team priorities
What You Bring
- BS in Chemistry, Forensics Science or a related field
- Minimum of 1+ year of industry lab experience
- Strong GxP/R&D experience required
- Solid understanding of data integrity, quality, and management principles
- Sharp analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
