Job Summary
We are seeking motivated Production Assistants (Print Planners) to join our Production Operations team in South Windsor, CT. This temp-to-hire role is part of our Customer Communications Division, supporting the delivery of integrated print, mail, and digital solutions. As a Print Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating job flow, improving throughput, and ensuring service and quality standards are met. Location: South Windsor, CT
Pay Rate: $18.75/hr (Day Shift) | $19.75/hr (Night Shift)
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (No end date / Not Seasonal)
Training: 2–6 weeks of comprehensive paid training provided
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning: Deliver work to each machine station per schedule, prioritizing urgent jobs to meet client deadlines.
- Monitoring & Improvement: Observe the production floor to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce labor costs.
- Resource Coordination: Work across departments to allocate resources, maximize output, and help maintain high quality.
- Order Tracking: Use Excel and other systems to monitor job status and production data.
- Workflow Communication: Clearly communicate with team members to resolve operational issues and adjust to shifting priorities.
- Adherence to Safety: Follow all safety protocols including wearing safety shoes.
- Support Overtime Requirements: Flexibly accommodate mandatory overtime as required.
Qualifications
- Excel & Microsoft Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English is essential.
- Physical Endurance: Ability to stand and walk for 12-hour shifts.
- Safety: Must wear safety shoes at all times while on the production floor.
- Dependability: Willing to work mandatory overtime.
- Teamwork: Positive attitude, strong initiative, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team environment.
Schedule
- Day Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, rotating Wednesdays, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Night Shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, rotating Saturdays, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
(Mandatory overtime may be required on short notice)
