Location: 1510 Puyallup St, Sumner, WA 98390
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
Pay Rate: $24.00/hour
Footwear Requirement: Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes/boots required

Position Summary:
The Material Handler supports warehouse stock and shipping operations by accurately assembling, packing, and preparing customer orders. This role requires attention to detail, physical activity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Employees will be certified to operate a ride-along electric pallet jack and other powered industrial trucks (PITs) as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and fill customer and inter-division orders for shipment

Load common carriers and company trailers at the dock

Assemble and pack customer orders for shipment via UPS

Process UPS shipping paperwork, including verifying merchandise, applying postage labels, and following shipping instructions

Ensure shipments are insured when required

Verify completed orders from carts, count merchandise, and record totals on invoices

Stage packed orders on shelves according to truck route

Measure, cut, and spool wire materials

Verify shipped items against invoices for accuracy

Cross-train and assist other warehouse personnel as needed

Perform other duties as assigned
Equipment & Physical Requirements:

Ride-along electric pallet jack (certification provided)

Other PIT equipment as needed

Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks

Ability to lift warehouse materials in a stock/shipping environment
