Kelly Services is working with a leading manufacturing company and they are looking for a temp to hire Plating Operator. If interested, please apply to the job and make sure to include your 2026 resume.
- Pay: $25 -26 per hour, based on experience
- Shift: 1st & 2nd shift ($2/hr Differential for 2nd Shift)
Job details:
- Ability to perform barrel and rack plating, ensuring adherence to quality control standards.
- Control zinc plating processing and manage hazardous chemicals.
- Run and clean high-pressure wastewater filter systems.
- Change filters for zinc and water rinse tanks; monitor acid pH levels of zinc tanks.
- Add chemicals to zinc tanks as needed.
- Operate vibrating and deburring equipment.
- Load, unload, dip and hang parts for manual rack plating tanks.
- Check plating thickness and color.
- Prepare new plating solutions as necessary.
- Clean high-pressure ET filter system, evaporator, and pump wastewater; brush and wash each filter; prime DE system; adjust wastewater tank pH level.
- Record plating logs, graphs, and daily production reports.
- Maintain accurate chemical inventory and usage.
- Ensure quality standards and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years plating experience preferred.
- Knowledge of hazardous chemical management, including adding chemicals, monitoring pH levels, and maintaining proper protocols for safety.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs. continuously.
