Compensation: $24.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and personable Administrative Assistant to support daily administrative and operational functions during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. This role plays a key part in customer service, bookkeeping support, inventory coordination, and general office management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Front Office
-
Greet customers in person and handle incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner

Take, distribute, and manage phone messages and voicemail transfers
-
Serve as the first point of contact, ensuring a welcoming and positive customer experience
Administrative & Accounting Support
-
Enter checks, credit card payments, invoices, and customer accounts into QuickBooks
-
Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable records
-
Reconcile monthly credit card and vendor statements
-
Set up new inventory items and customer accounts in QuickBooks
-
Maintain sales tax resale and tax-exempt certificates
Mail, Shipping & Deliveries
-
Collect and distribute daily incoming mail; deliver outgoing mail to the post office

Receive and process UPS, FedEx, Amazon, DHL, and freight deliveries

Prepare outgoing shipments as directed by management
Inventory & Ordering

Order and track inventory including hardware, cables, antennas, office supplies, and shop materials

Maintain organized stockrooms, storage areas, and accurate inventory records
Office & Facility Maintenance
-
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the showroom, office, restroom, garage bay, and storage areas

Empty trash regularly and restock supplies as needed

Manage and maintain company apparel and promotional inventory
Additional Duties

Assist with website and social media updates

Ensure required insurance certificates are on file with marinas and coordinate updates with the insurance provider
Qualifications
-
Required: Experience using QuickBooks
-
Preferred:

Knowledge of the marine industry
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of one year of customer service experience
