Chemical Flaking Operator:
Night shift 12 hours rotating shift
Starting pay rate $ $20-$21.50 depending on experience
MUST BE 100% EXPERIENCED ON STAND UP FORKLIFT. THIS IS A VERY PHYSICAL AND FAST ENVIRONMENT / MUST BE ABLE TO MEET REQUIRED ORDERS EXPECTED . THIS IS NOT JUST A FORKLIFT DRIVING POSITION.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (SUMMARY) Reporting directly to the ST Production Supervisor, the Chemical/Flaking Operator II is responsible for performing all required duties and operating all necessary equipment to ensure the continuous and effective operation of the ST Flaking department. The Chemical/Flaking Operator II maintains safety and quality standards while meeting the stated production goals. III. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education, Credentials, Licenses: • A High School Diploma or GED required. • Stand-up forklift certification required; in-house certification will be provided prior to start. Kind & Length of Experience: • Minimum 6 months of stand-up forklift experience required. Physical Requirements: • Able to work in ambient temperatures (high and low). • Able to work a 12-hour shift with a rotating schedule. • Able to change elevation using ramps, stairs, and ladders. • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (e.g., greater than one hour). • Able to independently lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally during shift. • Able to work overtime if needed. III. PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS • Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Chemical/Flaking Operator I. • Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Bag Room Operator if trained and qualified. • Inspect materials and products for defects and ensure conformance to specifications. • Record production and operational data (e.g., number of materials processed). • Operate controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment. • Weigh or measure materials or products to ensure conformance to specifications. • Identify and mark materials, products, and samples according to specifications. • Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper function and safe working conditions. • Operate material handling equipment, including but not limited to a stand-up/sit-down forklift. • Verify quality and weight of product. • Performs washouts and changeovers of facilities and equipment. • Dump, pour, and maintain specified quantities of materials into machinery, equipment, and raw material storage/tanks. • Transfer inventory utilizing the company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. • Perform autonomous maintenance, including cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, and tightening to maintain equipment condition. • Lead or support continuous improvement activities through established methods. • Maintain housekeeping requirements in addition to 5S standards (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain). • Keep equipment and work area clean and organized. • Comply with company compliance training program. • Comply with all customer, regulatory, and quality requirements in the performance of all tasks set forth in the company’s policies and procedures. • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and standards. • Follow the site’s EHS&S Policy and the Cardinal Rules. • Report all accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly to leadership and the EHS&S department. • Participate in all required EHS&S training and help maintain a safe working environment. • Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Requirements covered under Local State and Federal Regulations. • Follow all RC14001 guiding principles, policies, procedures and other requirements. • Maintain Hazardous waste in accordance with all Local, State and Federal Regulations. • Other duties as requested. Cremer Training Required: • The company’s written training program will be followed for this position.
