Kelly Services is seeking a Material Handler for 1st Shift with one of our premier clients in Indianapolis IN.
Pay: $18.00 – $19.31hr (weekly pay)
Hours: 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday
Must have experience operating Reach Trucks and Platform Lifts.
Description: As a Material Handler, you’ll ship, receive, package, count and route material, complete associated paperwork and/or operate machinery such as forklift, pallet jack, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Coordinate shipping and receiving and material handling transactions with appropriate individuals/departments.
• Responsible for assigned picking inventorying, and packaging. Route packaging materials to proper departments.
• Instruct and/or assist in preparing merchandise for shipment.
• Maintain necessary records and files of transactions, verifying accuracy of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other records on Oracle or other systems.
• Sets up locations in ERP and resolve purchase order receiving discrepancies and receiving discrepancies with planner-buyer.
• Arranges stock to best advantage for efficiency and accessibility. Adheres to all safety rules and may use forklift and other material moving tools and moving machinery.
• Deliver product from receiving to the appropriate destination.
Performs inventories; physically perform and transact cycle counts of materials.
• Reconcile bad counts with assistance from Senior Material Handler
Requirements:
- Must have 1-2 years experience operating Reach Trucks and Platform Lifts.
- Must have Highschool Diploma or GED
- Experience with cycle counts and inventory management
