At Kelly® Professional & Industrial, we’re seeking a Molding Machine Operator to work for a premier manufacturer in Marion, NY. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with strong pay, stable schedules, and room to grow across multiple skill levels. With us, it’s all about finding the right opportunity for you!
Pay: $20.83/hr.
Schedule: B Shift (3:30pm to 2:00am, Monday – Thursday).
- Training on A Shift (7am to 3:30pm, Monday – Friday) for the first 4-6 weeks.
Summary: In this role, the Molding Machine Operator will operate molding presses and ovens in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment, to manufacture PTFE billets that will later be machined into seals. Opportunities are available across multiple skill levels, ranging from trainee to advanced machinist, with responsibilities aligned to experience and capability.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Load, operate, and unload molding presses to produce PTFE billets
- Set up molding presses according to Standard Work Instructions
- Load oven racks and transport billets for sintering
- Perform prep work for machining, including cutting stock and sizing billets
- Support assembly cell operations such as cutting, knotching, and threading
- Hand-make secondary components and insert them into seals
- Perform preventive and basic maintenance on equipment
- Accurately complete production and labor reporting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 5S standards
- Actively participate in safety programs and High Performance Teams (HPTs)
- Report injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately
- Support overtime and flexible scheduling based on customer demand
- Complete other duties as assigned
