Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Worker

Pay Rate: $20 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: South Windsor, CT
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team at our South Windsor, CT facility.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting facility operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical systems, plumbing, and general machine maintenance and will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair of facility equipment and machinery


  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including oil changes on key machines


  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues


  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation


  • Perform HVAC system maintenance and basic plumbing work


  • Assist with general machine repair and upkeep


  • Respond to emergency maintenance repairs when needed


  • Support cross-training initiatives and assist other departments as required


  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety procedures


  • Use hand tools and maintenance equipment as required


  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance

Preferred Experience

  • Vacuum chamber experience is preferred but not required

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Technical School Certificate


  • 2–5 years of maintenance or facilities management experience


  • Experience in electrical systems, plumbing, and general equipment repair


  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English (FAA compliance)


  • Strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines


  • Strong organizational skills


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
