Location: Dyersburg, TN (Onsite or Hybird)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract to Direct hire
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Hourly Rate: $30–$38 per hour
Position Overview
As a CAD Designer, you will work closely with engineers and product managers to develop documentation and support materials for our platform and products. This role is responsible for creating, editing, curating, and publishing technical documentation that clearly communicates complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
Key Responsibilities

REQUIRED – Recently Developing 3D models using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
Design using solidworks and develop clear, detailed, and easy-to-follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes, equipment use, and assembly tasks

Review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with current processes.

Maintain a comprehensive and organized library of technical documents.

Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to gather information about processes, tools, and techniques.

Conduct interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand complex manufacturing processes and translate them into simple, accurate instructions.

Ensure documentation complies with applicable regulations, safety standards, and quality management systems.

Partner with illustrators to define and describe required technical images and diagrams.

Perform quality and style checks on documentation created by other technical writers.
Qualifications & Requirements

Prefered but not required – Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Content Creation, or a related field.

Minimum of 3+ years of technical illustration or technical writing experience.

Strong understanding of documentation standards and best practices.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Ability to interpret electrical schematics and other technical documentation.

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Ability to break down complex processes into clear, concise steps.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract relevant information from complex technical documents for inclusion in manuals.
