Safety Specialist / EHS Coordinator – Manufacturing Operations

$23.00–$26.00/hr+ | Bourbonnais area, IL
Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire (3+ months) or Direct Hire for the right candidate through Kelly Services
Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Early Leave Fridays; 11:30AM)
Start: After Interviewing

From the Desk of the Recruiter

The right person should know this role is worth their attention.

This is the kind of opening that can genuinely turn into something strong with growth. The pay is now $23.00–$26.00/hr or more, based on experience, and for the right person with the right background, this may be a direct-hire opportunity that could come in above $26/hr. It is a visible safety role with real influence, working closely under site safety leadership in a manufacturing environment that needs someone steady, credible, and respected on the floor.

If you are the type who likes being out in the operation, building trust, tightening standards, and helping a site get better without making everything about yourself, this is where you can thrive. This is not a clipboard-only role. It is floor-facing, people-facing, and best suited to someone who is calm under pressure, direct without being abrasive, and experienced enough to know that the strongest safety leaders learn the operation first and improve it with intention.

That said, we are being selective. We need someone with at least 2 years of recent related safety experience within the last 5 years, ideally in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, and the resume needs to look the part: polished, clear, and professional enough for a safety/quality-facing opportunity.

You’ve read this far and are not scared-off that’s a good sign. Let’s get started!
