Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $28.00–$35.00/hr (based on experience)

Shift: 10-hour shifts (as early as 5:00 AM)

What’s a typical day as Senior CNC Lead Operator? You’ll be:

  • Performing full machine setups and changeovers to ensure efficient production runs

  • Optimizing tooling, feeds, speeds, and cycle times for maximum productivity

  • Troubleshooting complex machining, tooling, and quality issues as they arise

  • Verifying and approving first-article inspections to maintain quality standards

  • Editing and proving CNC programs within authorization, with a focus on HAAS machines

  • Leading shift startup, changeovers, and job transitions on the shop floor

  • Mentoring and training Level I & II CNC operators

  • Collaborating with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to support production needs

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives, scrap reduction, and equipment uptime

  • Ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are consistently met

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have 3+ years of CNC machining experience, especially in metalworking

  • Possess advanced blueprint reading skills and a solid understanding of GD&T

  • Have strong CNC programming and editing experience (HAAS experience required)

  • Demonstrate expertise in tooling, fixturing, and process optimization

  • Are recognized as a technical resource and leader on the shop floor

  • Are physically able to perform prolonged standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other hands-on tasks in a loud, production environment

  • Are comfortable using PPE such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
