Job details

  • Location: Houston, TX 77002 (Mon-Thu in office / Fri remotely)

  • Work Schedule: 9 am – 5 pm

  • Pay rate: 30-38$ per hour

  • Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 9-month duration (likely to extend according to performance)

Summary:
Senior Accounting Analysts interpret financial data and trends to drive business decisions and ensure reporting accuracy using specialized accounting software.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Analyze data and prepare reports on assets, liabilities, and profit/loss.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support financial planning through variance analysis and performance tracking.

  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies through data analysis.

  • General Ledger: Manage journal entries and oversee general ledger operations.

  • Data Analysis: Compile and analyze financial data using accounting software and spreadsheets.

  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance; At least 6+ years’ of work experience.as analyst.

Skills

  • Technical: GAAP, regulatory compliance, SAP/Oracle, and advanced Excel.


  • Analytical: Financial modeling, data interpretation, and actionable insights.


  • Soft Skills: Independent project management, communication, and detail-oriented.
