Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be involved in mechanical design, analysis, testing, and documentation of both new and existing products, ensuring they meet and surpass industry standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and develop designs for new product development initiatives.
- Use SolidWorks CAD software to design, model, and validate concepts, including executing FEA and producing detailed documentation/drawings.
- Select appropriate materials for production and ensure alignment with product requirements.
- Define comprehensive test plans and direct product testing, collaborating with lab staff.
- Create and manage final drawings and product specifications, executing the production release process within a PDM system.
- Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for both new and existing products.
- Provide ongoing support to the production process to ensure quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a manufacturing process engineer when required, considering cost, performance, and quality implications in decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Proficiency with CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and tight-tolerance component design.
- Experience with closed-loop refrigeration systems, pneumatic actuation, automation, thermocouples, RTDs, power supplies, fans, and thermoelectric coolers is a plus.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and relevant physical sciences.
