Job Title: Assembly Operator I
Location: Fairview, NC
Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.61/hour
Status: Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking motivated candidates for an Assembly Operator I position at our Fairview, NC facility. We manufacture relays and switches for the aerospace industry and are looking for detail-oriented individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to a quality-driven production team.
The Assembly Operator I is responsible for component assembly and inspection using microscopes, small hand tools, fixtures, and measuring devices. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment, follows detailed work instructions, and maintains high standards for safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble small components and fit parts into fixtures according to work instructions and drawings.

Inspect own work using quality standards and established procedures.

Conduct pull tests as required for specific operations.

Measure components using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.

Inspect finished product to print and blueprint specifications.

Complete operational paperwork to maintain product traceability.

Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs as needed.

Maintain housekeeping and organization of the work area.

Follow company and departmental policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Read and perform tasks according to technical drawings and written instructions.

Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience required, with knowledge of manufacturing principles such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.

Basic computer skills preferred.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to interpret product blueprints and drawings preferred.

Experience using measuring devices such as gauges and calipers preferred.

Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
-
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Ability to work overtime as needed to support production goals.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
-
Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 75% of the time.

Ability to operate machinery and move between workstations.

Must be able to read, write, and understand written instructions in English.
