Finishing Operator –
Are you detail-driven, enjoy working with your hands, and passionate about craftsmanship? Join our team as a Finishing Operator and play a vital role in producing world-class dental instruments!
What You’ll Do:
- Perform finishing operations such as buffing, grinding, shaping, and polishing on dental instruments after heat treatment.
- Utilize abrasive belts, wheels, and precision tools to achieve exact product specifications and customer requirements.
- Work on complex, technically challenging products, relying on your eye/hand coordination and keen attention to detail.
- Progress to multiple product families as you master new skill sets—your role and responsibilities will grow with your abilities.
- Inspect finished instruments, identify quality issues, and correct any process flaws for exceptional results.
- Use measurement tools and read drawings to ensure all products meet rigorous standards.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations (OSHA) and company-specific guidelines.
- Record work performed using bar code systems or manual logs.
- Take on other related duties as assigned.
What You Need:
- Minimum 1 year experience with manufacturing machines, grinding tools, or equipment.
- Basic English reading/writing and math skills.
- Physical capability for repetitive tasks and routine operations with consistent focus.
- Ability to maintain quality under general supervision and exercise judgment to resolve quality concerns.
- Willingness to learn and use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, protractors), and basic blueprint reading.
- Manual dexterity or prior relevant work experience is helpful, but not required.
- Openness to learning new instruments via written specifications or samples.
- Ability to train others as you develop expertise.
- Basic computer skills are a plus!
