Position Summary
Kettle Operators are responsible for producing high?quality sauces using open kettles and other cooking equipment. This role involves precise ingredient handling, monitoring cooking processes, and ensuring all products meet company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cooking equipment including ovens, kettles, dishwashers, pumps, and other machinery.
- Verify, measure, and weigh correct ingredients for each batch.
- Scoop and fill products into kettles; add designated ingredients and continuously monitor cooking time and temperatures.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas after each batch.
- Gather vegetable carts and organize materials as needed.
- Fill containers with hot stock following safety procedures.
- Follow all GMPs, food safety procedures, sanitation protocols, environmental rules, and company safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing or food production experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a plant environment with exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
- Standard workweek of 40 hours; additional hours may be required depending on production needs.
- Some exposure to hazards or physical risks requiring the use of safety equipment and precautions.

The physical demands listed below represent those required for the role (8-hour workday):
- Standing/Walking: 6+ hours
- Sitting: None
- Forklift/Prime Mover: Not required
- Repetitive Hand Motions:
- Simple Grasping – 50%
- Fine Manipulation – 30%
- Pushing/Pulling – 50% (includes pushing containers up to 700 lbs requiring 50 lbs initial force)
