Manufacturing Lab Technician (Hardware Lab Technician)
Contract:
6-month contract with possibility of extension
Pay rate: $35/HR
Monday – Friday 8AM -5PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Manufacturing Lab Technician to support our Hardware Lab operations. In this role, you will help set up, wire, and maintain lab infrastructure—including power, networking, console/terminal servers, environmental chambers, and liquid-cooling equipment. You will assemble lab benches, install equipment into network racks, and assist with new lab buildouts, as well as move pallets, furniture, and equipment as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, wire, and maintain lab infrastructure (power, networking, servers, chambers, and liquid-cooling equipment)
- Assemble lab benches and install equipment into network racks
- Assist with new lab buildouts
- Move pallets, furniture, and equipment as required
- Debug systems and printed circuit boards (PCBs) in a hands-on hardware lab environment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PCB components
- Support engineering teams with equipment setup, configuration, and testing
- Ensure lab operations meet operational and safety standards
- Collaborate with various teams to maintain lab functionality and compliance
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Hardware Lab Technician or in a comparable hardware lab role
- Demonstrated ability to debug systems and PCBs in a hardware lab setting
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and PCB equipment
- Basic knowledge of networking and electronics
- Proven experience supporting engineering teams with lab operations and testing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to safely lift and move equipment up to 70 lbs
