Kelly, in partnership with a rapidly growing manufacturer, is looking for Field Machine Builders in Rockford, IL! Our client offers training opportunities to sky rocket your career!

Details:

  • Openings on days and night shifts!

    • 1st shift: flexible hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday

    • 3rd shift: 5:00 pm to 5:00 am on a 2-2-3 schedule


  • Compensation: $20 – $28 per hour, based on experience.

  • This position travels around 40% of the time regionally and internationally.

Job Description:

  • Perform assembly of machine tool systems from start to finish in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions

  • Install and wire electrical components including control panels, drives, motors, sensors, feedback devices, and cable systems

  • Route, terminate, and label wiring and cables according to standards

  • Assemble and install printed circuit boards and electronic components as required

  • Perform testing and verification using tools such as oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, data loggers, and diagnostic equipment

  • Support feedback device setup and machine electrical calibration activities

  • Utilize computers and software tools for diagnostics, configuration, and documentation

  • Follow ENOC procedures and other assembly processes

  • Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and man lifts in accordance with safety policies

  • Work under the guidance of senior electricians, supervisors, or engineers as required

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives

Requirements:

  • Experience in electrical or mechanical assembly, industrial wiring, or similar role

  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings

  • Basic computer and math skills

  • Familiarity with PPE requirements and safe work practices

  • Strong teamwork, planning, and prioritization skills

  • Machine tool industry experience preferred
