- Openings on days and night shifts!
- 1st shift: flexible hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday
- 3rd shift: 5:00 pm to 5:00 am on a 2-2-3 schedule
- 1st shift: flexible hours 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday
- Compensation: $23 – $32.50 per hour, based on experience.
Job Description:
- Interpret routings, engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to determine correct setup and machining sequence.
- Set up large workpieces using overhead cranes, fixtures, and rigging while following strict safety standards.
- Load, verify, and manage pre-set tooling within tool magazines and chains.
- Operate large CNC milling machines, adjusting speeds, feeds, offsets, and cutting parameters to achieve specified tolerances and desired finishes.
- Perform manual machining operations as necessary.
- Monitor ongoing machining operations, making real-time adjustments to optimize performance and part quality.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Required: Hands-on experience with Siemens CNC controls.
- Required: Hands-on experience with Fanuc CNC controls.
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience working on large/heavy equipment.
- Proven experience operating large CNC milling machines or similar heavy machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, routings, and GD&T specifications.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, including optimum speeds, feeds, tooling choices, and cutting strategies.
- Experience in machine setup, fixture/workholding, and precise part alignment.
- Proficiency in drilling, tapping, and other precision machining tasks.
- Ability to operate CNC machines manually as required.
