Machine Operator Trainee – 3rd shift / QC Slitting
- Duration: Max 6 Months
- Status: W2 under staffing Temporary/Seasonal (Overtime as needed)
- Location: San Diego, CA 92123
- Work Schedule: Sun to Thu / 3rd Shift: 10:30 pm – 7:30 am
- Pay rate: $18/h + 1.50$ shift premium
We are seeking a mechanically minded Machine Operator Trainee to set up, run, and troubleshoot production machinery while ensuring high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Efficiently set up, monitor, and troubleshoot slitting machines.

Quality Control: Identify film defects and ensure products meet quality specs.

Documentation: Independent preparation of slitting docs, core tags, and labels.

Training: Assist in the supervision and training of new operator trainees.

Material Handling: Help with packaging, stacking, and moving pallets.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma (College or Military service preferred).

Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and math skills.

Communication: Clear verbal/written skills for shift handovers and reporting.

Knowledge: Familiarity with film construction and winding techniques is a plus.
