Job Title: Manufacturing Technician I – Consumables Manufacturing Technician
Location: Fremont, CA
Schedule-
Days-6AM -2:30PM Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Manufacturing Technician I to join our Consumables team. In this role, you will play an integral part in the upstream and downstream manufacturing of biosensor products, ensuring all activities comply with safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Execute hands-on manufacturing tasks such as cutting, clamping, gluing, coiling, polishing, biosensor coating, backfilling, and packaging.
- Carry out production activities with strict adherence to GMP guidelines.
- Stage and prepare for production, including lot number assignments, batch record and label printing.
- Use ERP systems to manage materials and production work orders.
- Operate various manufacturing equipment (e.g., pipettes, balances, reagent filling machines, polishing and coating machines).
- Perform final packaging of products after release.
- Support inventory management through timely completion of departmental tasks, including physical counts and review of parts.
- Report material non-conformities at any stage of the process.
- Assist with hazardous waste management and disposal activities.
- Learn new processes as part of New Product Introduction, as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certificate or diploma in Life Sciences is a plus.
- Experience with basic dilution techniques and reagent preparation is a plus.
- Proficient with laboratory instruments, SOPs, and documentation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate skills in Excel and data management preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems for work order management and material issuance is an asset.
